Exciting News from the 'Chimneyless Factory' Semiconductor Fab-less Leader, Telechips HQ, hosting the new 2024 TOPST event! 

Following the tremendous success and public interest garnered from last year's 'TOPST Alliance Day' held on December 7th, we are thrilled to introduce the newly established TOPST Training Center and kick off our first-ever educational program this year! 

From February 6th to 7th, 11 students from the Semiconductor Major Track Department at Daegu University participated in the program at the TOPST Training Center. They had an enriching experience exploring the semiconductor industry firsthand and engaging in education using the 'TOPST Platform', an open-source hardware. 

Reports suggest that the students found the program to be highly beneficial. They delved into the evolving landscape of the future mobility industry, witnessing the transformation of the SDV(Software-Defined Vehicle). The importance of 'Semiconductor and SW Competitiveness', coupled with an emphasis on 'Open Innovation', was evident. The national initiative to foster 300 automotive industry SW specialist companies by 2030 was also highlighted. 

As the future mobility industry expands beyond traditional manufacturing into the service sector through autonomous driving and connected technologies, the convergence with other industries such as semiconductor, battery, materials, and energy is rapidly growing. In the era of the Big Blur, 'TOPST Open Platform' stands as the 'future sustenance' and 'driving force' for vehicle semiconductors, aiming to surpass foreign-made semiconductors with the passion and goal declared by TOPST. 

The post-education practical program involved hands-on experience with the 'TOPST Dolphin3' board. Students engaged in more intuitive and concise exercises, such as porting the operating system of open-source hardware and handling application operations using peripheral devices like cameras, providing a more enjoyable learning experience than traditional classroom lectures. 

'TOPST', signifying the 'Total Open-Platform for System development and Training', is a business unit within Telechips established in 2023, dedicated to building and energizing the domestic ecosystem for the localization of vehicle system semiconductors!
