Telechips Introduces Ultra Low Power Wireless Full HD Service Solution and Android DVB Solution in IBC 2015

Seoul-(September 11, 2015)- Telechips, a leading provider of semiconductor fabless fields, today announce two solutions which are ultra low power wireless streaming solution and Android DVB solution in IBC 2015. IBC is held from Sep 11, 2015 to Sep 15, 2015.

Telechips` newly released product, TCC8975, based ultra low power features of the SoC makes realize light and small designed environments for Full HD with wireless. The company has focused on a service scenario that is able to offer wireless 1080p streaming in actual environments by reducing bandwidth with HEVC. The SoC is able to decode 1080p contents received via WiFi with only 2.5W ultra low USB power and makes feasible fancy and small designed environments of 74mm x 27mm.
Android and HTML5 based Linux are offered as OS and Security Solution such as TEE (Trusted Execution Environment), DRM (Digital Right Management), Conditional Access, and Media Sharing Solution such as DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), NAS (Network Attached Storage), Miracast are offered as well.

Another solution that Telechips announce in IBC 2015 is Android DVB with Embedded H/W CAS Solution (Embedded Hardware Conditional Access System Solution). Telechips releases Android DVB solution supporting Embedded H/W CAS through co-work with the world’s largest CAS company.
Through this co-work, Android becomes one of the available options in security market, especially, Satellite STB (Set-top box) market related to CAS. With Android, engineers are able to develop applications used in supplementary service such as on-demand service and may formulate N-Screen and Contents Everywhere strategies in STB/Smart Phone/Tablet with ease.
